Long Journey Home

 
                                                                                                                                                                                                                     This painting is the first in a series called, "Going Home". I did not intend to paint      
a series. It just showed up!
The "Long Journey Home" painting came straight from the heart. Our daily lives are up and down and upside down and twisted around and full and meaningful but also a little too full sometimes. That's when we feel like "going home". For me, home is where I grew up, where family is, where I am embraced, understood, accepted. 
 
The colors in this piece are saturated and somewhat distinct. Turquoise, magenta, green and orange tell the story.
